Soft White Beaches

When visiting the Destin, Panama City there are several basic choices to make. The first one is an easy one. Should you take an airport shuttle service? Well, we think you should, or hire one of your town cars to pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel. Not only will you be sparing yourself of the cost of a rental car, by committing to go carless for your vacation you are opening yourself to enjoying the simplicity of  life without the responsibility of driving, parking, sitting in traffic and driving more. Why not go by foot to all the conveniently located attractions. If you really need to go somewhere out of walking distance, call us and we’ll send a town car.

Another question is what beach will you try first! The beaches of this area of Florida are known far and wide for what is called white sugar sand. In geologic terms it is Appalachian quartz, so basically what has been broken down from the once mighty Appalachian mountains. This sand is white and bright (so bring sunscreen, hats, and good sunglasses) and most notably, it is soft.

If luck should decide not to smile on your beach days and it’s rainy, or maybe you just need a day inside with the kids, try the Emerald Coast Science Center. This is a hands-on exploratory museum and non-profit education center in Fort Walton Beach. There are exhibits entitled, Robotics, Under the Hood and Wind Tunnel, Critter and Bubble Room and Color and Light. This is a sure way to keep the kids entertained, broaden their horizons and get them worn out, all things we want when vacationing with children.

When booking your vacation don’t forget to book an Amore Airport Shuttle!
